How do we begin service?

You can look over the San Diego Shredders website to choose the size and style of locking security bin(s). Then call or email us and we can discuss the frequency of service. If you would rather look at the bins in person, we can schedule a visit (usually within 24 hours). Once the bin(s) are in place and the schedule is set, your shredding hassles and confidentiality worries are over. Our professional background-checked Customer Service Representative will transport your sensitive documents to our custom designed mobile shredding truck where hours of monotonous office work are completed in a few minutes. You are certainly invited to watch the whole process.

I own a very small business with limited shredding needs. Do you have a program for me?

Yes! San Diego Shredders wants your business! We cater to small businesses by offering monthly, bimonthly, and even quarterly pick up programs with a variety of bin sizes to meet your special needs. If you have a secure office enviroment or a home-based business, be sure to ask about the low cost Paper Taker Program. Call or email for more details.

Can you provide a Certificate of Destruction?

A Certificate of Destruction is presented with every invoice printed. The document shows the amount of material destroyed (in pounds), date destroyed, and the name and signature of San Diego Shredders authorized employee who did the shredding.

What are the terms and conditions of the contract?

There is no contract! Nothing to sign, no hassles, no worries. San Diego Shredders will present the terms and conditions of our service to you. If you are unhappy with the service at any time, we will do whatever we can to make you happy or you can stop the service.

Do you have a drop location?

Due to overwhelming demand, YES! This service is mainly for persons with small quantities, but the shredding warehouse has a capacity of more than 20,000 lbs per day. Our sister company Green Shredding handles all of our drop off shredding customers. Location and Hours: 1616 G St San Diego, CA 92101. Our hours are 11am-5pm (M-F) 9am-2pm (Sat) and costs only $5/box with NO minimum. For more information go to www.greenshredding.com

What happens to the paper once you pick it up?

Depending on if you opt for onsite shredding or offsite shredding, the documents are either shredded curbside (onsite) immediately or shredded later in the day (offsite). With both services the documents are completely destroyed before leaving the truck. After the shredding takes place, 100% of your sensitive documents are recycled.

I have a bunch of old bills, tax returns, and other confidential stuff. Do you service normal residences?

Certainly! We provide one-time purge service and scheduled service to residential accounts all the time. Even the tight alleys of the beach communities have been frequented by our trucks.

Absolutely! Our friendly drivers/CSRs would be happy to show you our powerful destruction equipment in action.

How do we pay?

Scheduled service customers can pay via invoice. All others are requested to pay at the time of service. Cash, company check, and Visa/Mastercard are accepted forms of payment. All "drop location" customers must pay with cash.

I work during the week and would like to schedule shredding service on the weekend. Is this possible?

Yes. We understand the needs of residential customers. Since we strive to be San Diego's #1 choice for residential shredding, we are open for shredding service on Saturdays. Please call or email to check on availibility and Saturday's service areas.
